Abstract

An open-source Python framework for building and operating long-running agents, covering tool use, MCP support, the A2A agent-to-agent protocol and durable execution. Its distinguishing feature is durable runs: every step is persisted so another process can finish a run after a crash, or fork it into a new one. Calling serve on an agent enables the A2A protocol automatically, making the agent discoverable to others. It works with any OpenAI-compatible provider including OpenRouter, Groq, Together, vLLM and Ollama. Notable because it treats A2A discoverability and crash-resumable execution as defaults rather than add-ons.
