CubeMAP (China Unicom) — native network architecture and protocol framework for the Internet of Agents

Abstract

An industry weekly timeline (2026-10-03 edition) lists the same event as "9月28日中国联通发布CubeMAP，赋能多智能体互联互通". The platform was described publicly by 曹畅, Director of the Next-Generation Internet Research Department at China Unicom Research Institute, in a conference report carried by 《中华英才》 半月刊 (2026-09-23): "在智能体互联网领域，曹畅指出 AI 正从单体智能迈向群体协同，智能体互联网将重构'连接、架构、认证、服务'核心要素。 Related industry commentary (2026 一周综述) frames CubeMAP as China Unicom aiming at the interconnection layer among heterogeneous agents, i.e. "the TCP/IP layer for agents"; a separate report notes the protocol framework was shown in China Unicom's agent-internet area at MWC Shanghai 2026. No first-party product page was located at collection time; all wording above is quoted from the cited Chinese-language coverage.
